Ready to build your own shed but not sure where to start? This 3-day, in-person workshop is designed for homeowners and DIYers who want to gain the real-world skills and confidence to construct a functional backyard shed—from foundation to finish.
Under the guidance of expert instructors, you'll work through every phase of construction: preparing the base, framing walls and roof, installing doors and windows, applying sheathing and siding, and finishing with shingles. This is hands-on learning at its best, using real tools, proven techniques, and the support of experienced builders.
What You’ll Learn:
🔨 Wall & Roof Framing
- Construct a shed platform
- Frame walls with rough openings for doors and windows
🚪 Roof Framing, Sheathing & Building Paper
- Measure, cut, and install gable-style roof rafters and ridge board
- Sheath the walls and roof with OSB or plywood
- Apply house wrap or building paper for weather protection
🏠 Exterior Finishes & Roofing
- Install shed windows and pre-hung exterior door
- Hang vinyl siding and trim for a finished look
- Install underlayment, drip edge, and asphalt shingles on the roof
